**Your adventure begins before you even hit the water…**
To fully immerse yourself in the experience, we encourage you to read through the *“Legends of Deadman’s Island”* on our website. The stories, history, and hidden details may just give your crew an edge when it’s time to hunt for treasure!

**ARRIVAL**
Please arrive at your scheduled time at the designated launch site. Time is built into the schedule for check-in, instruction, and restroom use, but only if you arrive on time or early.
Once you arrive, look for our white van with the Black Manta Kayak Club logo, where your guide will get you checked in and set up with gear.
Late arrivals may result in shortened participation or cancellation without refund, as this is a timed, private experience.
**WHAT TO BRING FOR YOUR EXCURSION:**
*--Water Bottle (Recommended)*
We encourage guests to bring their own water bottle to stay hydrated during the tour. We will also have extra bottled water available if needed.
*--Dry Bag or Waterproof Phone Case*
Kayaks include dry storage, but water can occasionally enter compartments, or in the unlikely event you have an "out of boat experience". Extra protection is recommended for phones and valuables.
*--Sun Protection*
Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, and layered clothing are strongly recommended. As you’ll be on the water and the island for several hours.
*--Comfortable Clothing & Layers*
We recommend bringing layered clothing that can be taken on and off to manage sun exposure or if you become too cold or too hot. Its not always the case, but if you become bothered by our by our insect friends layered clothing can help with that as well.
*--Water Shoes or Sandals*
Shoes that can get wet are recommended for launching, landing, and short walks on the island.
*--Team Spirit & Curiosity*
This experience includes interactive puzzles and teamwork—come ready to think, explore, and have fun!
*--Cash for Gratuities (Optional)*
Tips are never required but always appreciated if you enjoyed your experience.
**LEAVE NO TRACE COMMITMENT:**
All guests are expected to respect Deadman’s Island as a protected natural area. Please help us preserve its beauty by leaving nothing behind and following guide instructions.
Cancellation Policy
This experience requires significant preparation, staffing, and custom setup. For this reason, a minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for all cancellations or rescheduling requests in order to receive a full refund.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled start time, as well as no-shows, are non-refundable.
As a small, locally owned business with limited private bookings, late cancellations directly impact our ability to offer this experience to other guests. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to notify us as soon as possible if your plans change.
