This is the best way to independently explore the Matanzas River. The river is home to many small islands, oyster beds, and winding creeks. Wildlife is abundant and paddlers frequently see dolphins, manatees, bald eagles, great blue herons, roseate spoonbills, pelicans, ospreys, and more. For anglers, a fish kayak or a Solo Skiff is the best way to get into shallow creeks to target Reds, Flounder, and Trout

##Meeting/Arrival Instructions:
We are located at 291 Cubbedge Rd, St. Augustine, FL. We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting wet and water shoes or sturdy sandals. Renters are also encouraged to bring a hat and/or sunscreen and a water bottle.
##Explanation of what to expect:
Paddling conditions will be affected by the weather forecast, windspeed, and tides. There is frequently increased boat traffic in the Matanzas River during holidays and weekends. There is a good possibility you will get wet regardless of conditions.
