Sava Bridges Kayak Tour
If you're looking for a more challenging kayaking adventure in Belgrade, the Sava Bridges Kayak Tour combines active paddling, sightseeing, and spectacular river views.
This guided kayaking adventure takes you beneath six bridges spanning the Sava River while showcasing both historic and modern Belgrade.
Along the way, you'll experience the confluence of the Danube and Sava Rivers, paddle alongside Belgrade Fortress, and enjoy views of the modern Belgrade Waterfront district.
The route covers approximately 14 kilometers and takes around 3 to 3.5 hours, making it one of our most rewarding urban kayaking experiences.
Important Information
This tour is not recommended for complete beginners.
Because of the distance, river conditions, and steady paddling pace, participants should have previous kayaking experience and a moderate to good level of fitness.

Your Adventure Begins in Zemun
The tour starts at the PaddleBooking Kayak Center:

Before departure, you'll receive all the equipment needed for the tour:
• Single or tandem kayak
• Paddle
• Certified life jacket
• Waterproof dry bag for your phone and valuables
Our kayak center also has changing rooms, lockers, restrooms, and seasonal outdoor showers.
Before launching, your guide will provide a safety briefing and explain the route, river conditions, and paddling techniques.
Paddle to the Confluence of the Sava and Danube
After launching from Zemun, we paddle through a calmer section of the Danube toward the confluence where the Sava meets the Danube.
From the water, you'll enjoy panoramic views of Great War Island, Kalemegdan Fortress, historic Belgrade, Zemun, and the meeting point of the two rivers.
At the confluence, we turn upstream into the Sava River and begin the main part of the adventure.
Paddle Beneath Six Bridges
As we continue upstream, we'll paddle beneath six bridges spanning the Sava River:
• Branko's Bridge
• New Sava Bridge
• Old Railway Bridge
• Gazela Bridge
• Ada Bridge
• New Railway Bridge
Each bridge represents a different period in Belgrade's development and has its own distinctive design.
Paddling beneath the bridges gives you a unique perspective on the city's architecture, history, and modern development.
Historic Belgrade and Belgrade Waterfront
One of the highlights of the tour is the contrast between old and new Belgrade.
Along the route, you'll see the historic city center and Kalemegdan Fortress rising above the rivers.
Further along the Sava, you'll see the modern Belgrade Waterfront district, including its contemporary buildings, riverside promenade, and Belgrade Tower.

Break and Return Journey
After reaching the final bridge, we'll take a short break to rest, enjoy the views, and take photographs before beginning the return journey.
We then paddle back along the same route toward Zemun.
