For your convenience, we can also provide a skipper to take you to the best places in the safest way.
To rent our boats, the nominated skipper must be over 18 years old and have the relevant Navigation License.
The Authorized Navigation Area is only inside the Ria Formosa Lagoon and it's not allowed to exit to the ocean.

Please note:
The person in charge of the crew must be of legal age, responsible for the boat and the people in it. ISea Charter reserves the right to deny the delivery of the boat if the responsible does not appear apt to assume its responsibilities. In this case, only the amount of the rental will be refunded. The person responsible for the crew shall take possession of the vessel after completion of the formalities (security, inventory), the collection of administrative documents and the necessary training and navigation instructions. The renter must comply with the current navigation regulations and the instructions he receives from ISea Charter and from the local maritime authorities.
Night navigation, towing, lending or boat hire are prohibited.
FUEL
The vessels are delivered with the deposits full and must be returned under the same conditions. If the boat is not returned with the deposits full, a fee of € 150 will be charged for each deposit of fuel used.
If, due to tides, it is not possible to enter the dock at the end of the day to refuel the boats, ISea Charter will calculate the fuel consumed and this will be charged to the customer.

- We recommend comfortable clothes, sports shoes and, for sunset tours, warmer clothes, although most of the nights are relatively warm. On the summer, bring your Bathing Suits, Beach Towels, Sunscreen and hats.

- Delivery/check in of rental boats takes place between 09:30 and 10:00. Deliveries requested after this time will be subject to the availability of our staff. Due to operational logistics, we kindly ask for your punctuality, as no time extensions will be granted for late deliveries.
1- PAYMENT
The rental only becomes definitive when ISea Charter confirms to the renter his reservation, and after receiving payment of the reservation signal of 50% of the rental value.
The remaining payment will be made upon delivery of the boat.
2 - RECREATIONAL NAVIGATOR LICENSE
The bareboat hiring of boats can only be carried out by holders of a recreational navigator license valid for the vessel in question and for the navigation zone.
3 - NAVIGATION AREA
The permitted navigation zone for bareboat rentals is only within the Ria Formosa, and access to the sea is strictly forbidden.
4 - DELIVERY AND COLLECTION OF VESSELS
The boats are available on the schedule stated in the booking process and the starting point and end of the rental being the Faro Dock.

6- DOCUMENTS
In the act of delivering the boat, ISea Charter will ask the lessee for his personal documents and informations necessary for the preparation of the rental contract. Between these documents, a photo ID or passport and the respective recreational navigator license must be presented.
7 - FITNESS

8 - INSURANCE
The amount collected includes the compulsory insurance of civil liability and personal accidents of passengers, in accordance with the legislation in force for the Maritime-Tourist activity.
The insurance does not include personal objects of the renters, except in case of maritime incident, covered by the policy.
9 - EQUIPMENT OF THE BOAT
The vessels are delivered to renters with all mandatory safety equipment by law and in accordance with current legislation.
The renter undertakes to inform about any loss, theft or damage of the equipment of the boat and is responsible for its replacement.
10 - ANNULMENT
By lessee: Any cancellation must be notified in writing. The cancellation expenses are those corresponding to the administrative costs - 100 Euros
If ISea Charter is unable to provide the boat in question, it should, whenever possible, provide a similar boat in comfort and capacity. In the event that an alternative boat cannot be found within the agreed period, ISea Charter a shall reimburse the rental value received so far, excluding any other value, as well as any damage or loss caused.
11 – DEFECTS and DAMAGES
ISea Charter places at the service of the renter a free repair service, which will assist you through a simple phone call, during working hours.
Damages not attributable to the lessee: The impossibility of navigation caused by a fault not attributable to the lessee will be subject to a refund corresponding to the rental period not used.
Damage attributable to the lessee: If it is demonstrated that the damage to the boat is the responsibility of the lessee, the lessee will not be entitled to compensation.
ISea Charter reserve the right to withhold the amount of deposit deposited as a safeguard until you know the repair values of the boat.
12. - GPS TRACKERS
The rental boat is equipped with a GPS tracking device. By signing this agreement, the Renter acknowledges and consents to the use of GPS tracking by the Owner or their authorized representatives. This system may be used at any time during the rental period for safety, security, and operational purposes, including but not limited to locating the vessel in the event of emergency, unauthorized use, or late return.
13 - DIFFICULTIES - ACCIDENTS
No claim is possible in case of accident caused by negligence of the lessee.
This should inform the owner immediately about any accident, so it will be aided throughout the repair process. The renter must not repair or repair the damage or damage suffered by the boat without the prior agreement of ISea Charter. It is up to the tenant to complete the accident report, completing it and making it complete and signed by the third parties involved. Accidents not attributable to ISea Charter cannot be subject to compensation in case they lead to the interruption of the rental.
14 - DISENCHAIR OF THE VESSEL
When a stranding occurs, outside the safety route, with the need of towing done by another vessel, there will be payment of expenses of the operation. These costs will vary according to the distance to which the vessel is from the nearest distress point:
Cost of use of the towing vessel: from € 50 / hour
Labor costs: € 50 / person / hour
The aforementioned costs do not include any damage caused to the vessel, which includes the deposit deposited at the beginning of the rental.
15 - BOAT REFUND
The boat must be delivered at the agreed time and place, except in a previously agreed upon situation. The crewmember will have to provide a safety margin to ensure the arrival time and the return of the boat. The boat will be returned to ISea Charter in the initial conditions and after the initial inventory is verified. The lessee shall be responsible for any expense incurred by the delay in return. At each fraction of the delay in returning the boat, an indemnity of 50 Euros will be added, plus the costs related to the indemnity payable to the following tenant.
Cancellation Policy
🦠 Flexible cancellation: The owner offers free cancellation up to 15 days before check-in.
Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation.
Bad Weather Cancelations
If there is an official bad-weather warning issued by the local Capitania that prohibit us to go out or if there is a heavy, constant and permanent rain forecasted for the day, we MAY cancel the boat trip. If this happens, we can reschedule or issue a full refund of the money paid deducted from any fees.
