After lunch, we return to the Kayaks and paddle back to McCarrs Creek.
What is Included:
- Gourmet picnic
- A comfortable sit inside Kayak
- Paddle
- PFD (life jacket)

- Paddling instruction
- Sunscreen
More Information
The Walk is approx 1km return. The Waterfall lookout is approx 100m above Sea level, so its a bit of a climb. - Depending on the season, dress for both sun protection and warmth knowing all attire can get wet.

briefing and plan to be on the water by 11.00.
We will paddle up McCarrs Creek past Church point and into Lovett bay.
At Lovett bay we are out of the Kayaks and walk up to the Lovett bay
Waterfall. We can have Lunch at the waterfall or on the Beach.
After Lunch we paddle back to McCarrs Creek.
##What is supplied:
Sydney Kayak supplies the kayaks and kayaking equipment, Lunch and
Sunscreen.
##What to bring:
You should bring water and a change of clothes for after the paddle in case you
get wet. It is rare for anyone to fall in but you can get damp from paddle splash.
You can bring phones and Cameras but remember there is a risk as they don’t
float and usually don’t work if dropped in water. For anything with a touch
screen it is a good idea to have a small cloth to wipe drops from wet fingers off
the screen as they can be sensed as a finger touch and make use difficult.
Anything you don’t want to get wet should be in a zip lock bag as a minimum.
There is some room in the Kayak for small items. There is no room for large
items such as backpacks so it is recommended that they are left in the car.
##What to wear:
Paddling is a water sport so expect to get splashed. Your feet will get wet.
Footwear is strongly recommended and should be suitable for the bushwalk, as
well as being in the Water. Alternatively you can bring paddle shoes and
bushwalking shoes.
The clothing Golden Rules - your kayak clothing should:
- NO COTTON or DENIM - when it gets wet, it does not dry and
remains cold and heavy!
- When wet, your clothing must stay warm AND dry quickly!
- The key concept to bear in mind is layering. Several thin garments will
keep you just as warm as a single thicker one, and are much more
versatile.
- Remember you’ll need to think about staying cool as much as staying
warm, and you can always add or subtract layers.
- A light Nylon Jacket will keep out wind and water. Fleeces are OK. Avoid heavy Jackets
##What to expect:
You will be paddling on beautiful Pittwater. You will see Australian Bush and
Water access only homes.
This is a medium paddle of about an hour and a half each way depending on
conditions and the paddling ability of the group.
The walk to the Lovett bay waterfall a bit steep, but not too bad if you have a
medium level of fitness.
The Walk is approx 1km return. The Waterfall lookout is approx 100m above Sea level, so its a bit of a climb. No problem for the able-bodied, but quite steep so not suitable for those with bad knees or the unfit.
##Weather cancellation:
In the event of bad weather (rain or high winds) A decision will be made the
evening 36 hours before the paddle so for a Saturday paddle the decision will be
made Thursday evening. If you don’t receive a call or txt its going ahead.
