Why Emergency first Response® (EFR)?
EFR gives you the basic tools you need to perform CPR and first aid. Whether you’re a diver or a non-diver, EFR prepares you to properly handle potentially life-threatening situations.
The EFR is aimed at both non-divers and divers. We can work closely with schools/businesses to provide courses to the local community. Group discounts also arranged. The following EFR course is based on internationally recognised medical guidelines for emergency care.
What do I need to start?
- No dive certification required
- No minimum age limit
What will I do?
This course teaches you the steps and techniques for handling life-threatening emergencies. It will also focus on CPR training and teaching participants how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator) and how to provide first aid that eases pain and reduces the risk of further harm. You’ll learn to assess a variety of injuries and illnesses and practice bandaging and splinting.
EFR is a medically based, hands-on course that covers basic training in:
