##Important Information:

**Our Location** is 18001 US Hwy 301 S, Wimauma, FL, 33598. We're 3 miles south of the intersection of 301 and 674, just south of 301 bridge. Approx. 45 minutes from Tampa, Sarasota, and Saint Petersburg.

**Launch Times:** Arrive by 6:30-6:45 to check in. Map explanation starts at 7:00 pm. Late arrivals will be honored if possible, but arrivals after 7:15 pm will likely not be able to join the Moonlight Paddle trip.

**Return transportation times:** Approx. 11 PM, based on normal paddling conditions. A bus will be waiting for you at Fish Camp and your guides will load and handle the boats.

**What's included:** All your gear (boat, paddles, boat cushions on request, life jackets for all sizes and ages). Return transportation on our buses. Parking and use of the facilities at the outpost. Required state park fees. Food, drink, and fireside s'mores at the halfway point. Entertainment at the halfway point. Guide service. Glowsticks. Check our Menu and Moonlight section below to check the details for your specific trip.

**River Levels:** The Little Manatee River is a natural flowing river. River levels can vary depending on rainfall, may change daily and can be as unpredictable as Florida weather. You should check to be sure that the expected level on the day of your trip is a good match for your skill level and desired trip experience. Check current river levels [here](https://waterdata.usgs.gov/monitoring-location/02300500/#parameterCode=00065&period=P7D).
- Level 2.5-3.4: Low. Minimal experience required. Several shallow areas in first 3 miles may require you to exit and walk in the sand along side your boat for varying distances.
- Level 3.5-5: Medium. Some experience recommended.
- Level 5.0-8.0: High. Strong experience level recommended. Moonlight paddles are not run above 6 ft for safety.

**Liability forms:** All members of your party will be required to sign our liability release form at check in. Forms are also available on our web site.

**Minimum age:** Children should be at least 10 years old to successfully complete this trip. Expect to return to your car possibly as late as 11:30 pm.

##What to Bring:
We have a small store at the outpost with drinks, snacks, and ice for your trip or you may bring your own. No alcohol is allowed on this trip. Soft drinks are provided at the halfway point.
Every boat must have a cell phone in it, in a waterproof case, for safety's sake.
Every boat must also have access to a flashlight or head lamp.
All paddlers should also have a minimum level of paddling experience. We highly recommend exploring the river during the daytime to gain experience on this specific river before attempting a moonlight paddle.
You're welcome to bring a towel, change of clothes, etc for after the trip, as you should expect to get at least your feet wet if you have to step out of the boat to float over shallow spots, or get in/get out at the halfway point. We recommend leaving that in the car so it's clean and dry for you when you return, but you're welcome to bring it on the boats as well.

**Pets:** Pets are not allowed on the Moonlight paddle.

**Cancellation Policy:** Cancellations made at least 72 hours before the trip launch time will receive a full refund minus a 5% processing fee. You may move your reservation to a future moonlight paddle trip with no fees providing you do so at least 72 hours before launch time. No date changes or cancellations are allowed within 72 hours of the scheduled trip time. Trips are run rain or shine. If a trip is cancelled by the Canoe Outpost due to safety, weather or other concerns or factors, a full refund will be issued. Please remember that this is Florida. Rain at your location does not necessarily mean rain at the trip site. Canoe Outpost does reserve the right to make adjustments in trip plans or itinerary due to weather, water conditions, number of reservations or other factors. Canoe Outpost also reserves the right to deny service to anyone deemed to be an unsafe trip participant for any reason.
