Our 2-hour snorkeling is extended to 2.5 hours from Dec 15 – Apl 15 and includes a whale-watching tour and complimentary snacks, tropical juice, bottled water, and high-quality snorkeling gear. Brace yourself for a wet and bumpy ride at times, but rest assured, it’s all part of the excitement!
Please note that our voyage to Molokini Crater is weather-permitting and not guaranteed at all times. The alternative location is Turtle Town. The safety and comfort of our passengers is our top priority. Our experienced crew will make the best decisions to ensure an enjoyable trip!

Snorkeling Experience:
- On the way to your snorkeling spot, our crew prepares and adjusts your gear, making sure it fits correctly and you are comfortable.
- We also offer floatation devices to enhance your swimming.

Age and Physical Restrictions
- Snorkeler (6+ years old)
- 6+ years old due to potential weather conditions within the ocean.
- Non-swimmers are restricted to the boat.
- Pregnant women are prohibited.
- Participants must be capable of moderate-to-advanced physical activity.
- Persons with recent surgical procedures are prohibited.
- Cannot book individuals with chronic, serious existing back or neck conditions.
- Guests must be able to climb a vertical boat ladder.
- No unaccompanied minors below the age of 15 and no legal minors 17 years of age or younger without legal guardian-signed waivers.
- No elderly or fragile people or those with back or neck problems.
- Must be able to walk down the dock without assistance.
- Weight Limit 300 pounds maximum.

Your Itinerary:
Check-In:
- Check-in at 10:00 a.m. at the Kihei Boat Ramp, located at 2800 S Kihei Rd, Kihei, HI 96753. Look for the “Makena Mele II,” a red-colored 37-ft raft boat.
- Please note that there are multiple charter companies and similar-looking boats in the area, so make sure you come to - Makena Mele II.
- All guests must sign and complete the liability waiver before boarding.
- Proceed to the dock and board the boat when your group is called.
- The boat departs promptly at 10:30 a.m. (no exceptions), so please plan accordingly for parking and traffic delays.
En Route:
- Captain’s safety briefing.
- 20-minute trip to Molokini Crater (weather permitting).
- Snorkel among the abundant marine life and admire the breathtaking underwater scenery.
- Enjoy our complimentary sandwiches (vegetarian option available), chips, granola bars, Hawaiian-made juices and ice-cold water as you marvel at Maui’s stunning coastline.

Check-in is 30 minutes before your activity starts. If you booked 10:30 am, please check in at 10:00 am. If you booked for 1:30pm, please check in at 1:00pm
Wait under the trees at the picnic tables near the boat launching area for your captain to check you in. Refer to the picture below. Our boat is called "Makena Mele II" and will be returning from an early morning trip.

Cancellation Policy
Full refunds are available for groups of up to 4 with at least 24 hours' notice prior to departure. Groups of 5 or more require 48 hours' notice, and private charters require 7 days' notice for a full refund. Cancellations due to bad weather, wind or rain or mechanical failure are automatically honored regardless of notice period. Please note that cancellations and changes cannot be made via email. Transportation costs will not be reimbursed for any reason. Text us with any changes or questions at 808-874-1273.
Snorkeling Restrictions & Policy

- Snorkelers must be 5+ years old due to potential ocean weather conditions.
- Participants must be capable of moderate-to-advanced physical activity.
- Persons with recent surgical procedures are prohibited.
- Cannot book individuals with chronic, serious existing back or neck conditions.
- No unaccompanied minors below age 15.
- Minors 17 years of age or younger must have legal guardian-signed waivers.
- Weight limit: 300 pounds maximum.
- Trained service dogs are permitted as required by law.
- Emotional support animals, therapy animals, comfort animals, and companion animals do not qualify as service animals.
- For safety, all guests must be able to meet the physical requirements of the tour, including boarding the vessel, following crew instructions, safely entering and exiting the water if snorkeling, and climbing the boat ladder.
- Guests who cannot safely meet these requirements may be restricted from entering the water or may be asked to remain on the vessel.
Makena Coast Charters will make reasonable accommodations when possible, unless doing so would create a legitimate safety risk or fundamentally alter the tour.
