The best way to have an idea about an island is to see by the see and kayaking is one of the most preferred options for active vacation.
Lefkada island is a shining jewel in the Ionian sea, with very popular beaches but on the other side full with small hidden beaches, only way to get there is by boat.
Detailed program:
Day 1: Pick up from the airport, transfer to the starting point of the kayaking for the day - Desimi beach( 38.673137, 20.710658). We reach with the kayaks a cozy pebbled beach on island St Thalia with beautiful rock formations. Transfer to the accommodation.
Day 2: Today with the kayaks we head to Meganissi island with short stops on a few beaches with option for cliff jumping. Depending on the group, we might make a full tour round Meganissi island.
Day 3: A kayak tour by the islands Scorpios, Sparti, Scorpidi and Madouri is ahead of us, and we stop for a break on some of the beaches. In the afternoon we go for a beach on the most popular beach on the island- Porto Katsiki - The shipwreck.
Day 4: Cave day. We are preparing for a long day with the kayaks, as we are gonna visit the most popular cave Papanikolis ( Papanikolis Cave has earned a place in history, its name forever linked to the legendary World War II submarine, Papanikolis. According to legend, the cave served as a hidden refuge and base for the submarine during its operations in the Ionian and Adriatic Seas.). After it we head back to Lefkada island, to visit a smaller , but beautiful cave with rock tunnels and of course we will have a break in a small hidden beach among the surrounding rocks. Visiting Nidri waterfalls.
Day 5: Morning kayak trip to warm up and have some relax. Option for some beach time on Egremni beach. Drop off to the airport or hotel.
What to bring: beachware, aquashoes, smile and desire for adventure.
