## Your Kayak Rental — What You Need to Know
**Pick up your gear at:**
Astoria Hotel · 404 Connaught Drive, Jasper, AB
We'll have your key, paddle, PFD, spray skirt, bilge pump, rope, and safety whistle ready for you. Allow 10–15 minutes for check-in.
**Getting to Maligne Lake:**
Drive 48 km up Maligne Lake Road. Continue past the restaurant and buildings — do NOT stop there. Keep driving approximately 400 yards to the end of the road. The public boat launch parking lot is down the hill on your left. Your kayak will be locked at the dock.

**Important reminders:**
- No cell service at Maligne Lake — download offline maps before you leave Jasper
- Parks Canada fishing licence available at the Astoria Hotel if you plan to fish
- Your waiver must be completed prior to departure
**Return:** Lock the kayak at the dock and bring all equipment back to the Astoria Hotel front desk.

Important Information
Transport Canada–approved PFDs (life jackets) are provided with every rental. We strongly recommend wearing your PFD at all times on the water.
Maligne Lake is a remote environment with no cell service and cold water temperatures year-round. Guests should be comfortable in open water and dress appropriately for conditions.
