About
The Nashville Paddle Co. signature session gets you on a board and on the water in no time!
You'll learn the basics of how to SUP from certified instructors who work with paddlers of all ability levels.
- We start with safety and board and paddle overviews, and then demonstrate paddling technique.
- We cover basic forward and reverse strokes, turns and, if you're up for it, a preview of advanced moves.
- You'll be up and on the water in no time. Session includes all needed equipment (paddleboard, paddle and PFD) and certified instruction.

The cost of Intro to SUP includes use of a quality paddleboard, paddle, PDF with whistle and leash.
**Special requests:** Please let us know if you have any children (under age 16) in your group and/or anyone weighing under 100 lbs. or more than 250 lbs. with you. This helps us plan for the right sized boards, paddles and PFDs. Please let us know if you cannot swim, want to bring a dog, or have other special requests.
**Be prepared:** Wear board shorts, swimsuits or other clothing that can get wet. Flip flops or water shoes are good for getting to the water, as the shore is rocky, but when you get on your board, you will paddle barefoot. Bring a towel for after you paddle. If it is hot and sunny, wear sunscreen, bring a bottle of water. If it is overcast or the temperatures are dropping, wear a rash guard or jacket. If you have straps to keep sunglasses on your head, bring those. If not, we have some.
We can keep your keys from falling to the bottom of the lake, but please leave other valuables at home.
**Waivers:**Everyone in your party needs to sign a waiver before getting on the water.

Cancellation Policy
**Cancellation policies:** All purchases are final. If you need to reschedule for another day, you may do so with at least 24 hours notice. You will receive a credit good for any class at that same price or transferrable to someone else. If a lesson or class is cancelled due to weather (lightning, storms or high winds), you will be given a credit for a future class or rental. This rain check is good for the entire current season. No shows and cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are not issued credit.
We reserve the right to consolidate classes with fewer than 2 people.
