- Enjoy sightseeing as you travel to the Bear Glacier area. Paddle from our cache located on the ice filled lake, and listen to the ice crystals releasing compressed air that was trapped as the ice compressed due to the weight of snow over time.
- View the intense blue colored ice bergs as they float in the lake, and watch as they sometimes roll due to the melting that occurs.
- Enjoy viewing the harbor seals that are always present as we paddle through the glacial lake. Bear Glacier is simply one of the most dynamic and interesting areas in the Kenai Fjords National Park.
- We enjoy lunch near the glacier depending on the weather at the time.
- Photographers dream! Bear Glacier Lake is the result of Bear Glacier retreating from the terminal moraine which actually was the beach at the ocean.
- This area is home to some of the largest Black Bears, Goats, harbor seals, wolves, wolverine, and a multitude of other wildlife.

If you have any questions about this reservation and are unable to contact the operator, please give us a call. We would be glad to help. You can also come out and visit us at our RV park and enjoy the bay view from the covered deck of our office. Sea Otters are frequently seen feeding on the mussel beds which are visible at low tide; during the salmon season, salmon can also be seen jumping in this area. Onshore the trees play host not only to such small creatures as squirrels but we have several Bald Eagles that use this area as their hunting ground.
In addition to operating as a booking agent for several local lodging accommodations and tour companies, we personally offer RV parking, fishing charters, sight seeing charters, boat/motor rentals, guided sea kayak adventures, kayak lessons, kayak rentals and water taxi service to destinations in Resurrection Bay and the Kenai Fjords National Park. #Location and Directions
Miller’s Landing is located at 13890 Beach Drive, Seward Alaska 99664. Which is about 1 ½ mile south of the city of Seward along Resurrection Bay at Lowell Point. If you are coming into Seward from the Anchorage area (North of us) then you should be on Highway 9 (the Seward Highway) which turns into 3rd Ave once you hit the Seward city limits. Stay on this road till it end and you can either turn left (towards Alaska Sealife Center) or right towards Lowell point road. You want to turn right onto Lowell point road, just past the waterfall the road will turn from pavement to dirt.
