Congratulations on receiving your invitation to guide training camp. We love to have fun during the summer and in order to do that we all need to know proper safety techniques and the logistics of how things run around the shop. During training camp please come ready to learn and bring plenty of water, snacks, lunch and anything else that will keep you on track for success.
Training camp is from 7am-5pm please show up 10-15 minutes early to Cave Point Paddle & Pedal 6329 HWY 57 Jacksonport, WI.

Before participating in any scheduled tours, all guides must complete the Training and Guide Competency Checklist in full.
Please review the information below carefully. Completion of these requirements is mandatory.
**Training & Preparation Requirements**
1. Guide Gear
Review the Guide Gear List in full.
Bring all required items with you to training.
If you are having difficulty obtaining any item, notify us prior to training so we can discuss solutions.

**2. Training Manual**
Read the DCKT Manual in its entirety before training.
Save the manual to your phone or print a copy so it is easily accessible during training sessions.

**3. Mandatory Quizzes
Quizzes will be taken during training to ensure all guides are prepared for safe and effective tours.
Failure to pass a quiz on the first attempt will not result in termination.
All quizzes must be passed before leading any tours.
We will provide the tools, training, and support necessary to help you succeed.
These quizzes are not intended to discourage employment. The safety of our guides and guests is our top priority.
Failure to complete required training or pass mandatory quizzes prior to leading tours will result in termination.
**Housing & Employment Requirement**
Housing provided by Door County Kayak Tours is strictly tied to full-time employment with Door County Kayak Tours.
At any point during the season, if you:
Fail to prioritize scheduled hours and work commitments with Door County Kayak Tours, or
If your employment is terminated for any reason,
Your housing will be terminated at the same time as your employment.
Housing is not available to:
Part-time employees
Individuals prioritizing outside employment
Anyone no longer actively fulfilling full-time work expectations with Door County Kayak Tours
Failure to prioritize work hours for Door County Kayak Tours may result in immediate termination of employment and housing.

Refund & Deposit Policy
Training Camp is fully non-refundable.
Housing deposits are non-refundable until all of the following are completed:
Your final scheduled day of work
End-of-season chore checklist sign-off for your assigned room
These deposits reserve your position and housing for the season.
If you have questions or foresee any issues meeting these requirements, please contact us as soon as possible. Our goal is to set you up for success and ensure a safe, productive season for everyone.

Cancellation Policy
**Training Camp & Housing Deposit Cancellation Policy**
**Training Camp fees are fully non-refundable under all circumstances.**
The housing deposit is non-refundable until the employee has successfully completed their final scheduled day of work, subject to completion of all move-out requirements and room condition.
**Failure to report for scheduled Training Camp (no-show) will result in immediate forfeiture of the housing deposit.**
The housing deposit will also be forfeited if employment ends prior to the final scheduled day of work, including voluntary resignation or termination.
These deposits reserve your employment position and assigned housing for the season and compensate for lost staffing and housing availability when a position is held and not fulfilled.
