Know Before You Go
- Each Bio Bay tour is guided by a certified interpretive Marine Biologist trained in First Aid & CPR
- Skill Level: For Everyone (kids 6 years and up)
- This is a 2-person kayak tour. Maximum weight limit per person is 200 pounds.
- You will get very wet, we recommend bringing extra clothes and towel for after the tour
- All guests must be able to row their kayaks by themselves. One of the requirements is that you are able to get in and out of the kayak on your own and be able to maneuver it. If you are an unexperienced kayaker we highly suggest you choose the earlier tour.

The ‘Lesson 101’ before the trip, and safety orientation are a very important part of this tour and are mandatory. Any guest that misses this essential part of the tour will not be able to attend and as stated in your confirmation there is no refund or rescheduling. No exceptions!

**NOTES**
If you have requested transportation please remember :
- Transportation is a request that may or may not be available.
- Transportation might not be available if requested on the same day of the tour.
- The transportation has a minimum of 5 guests, we could contact you up to the day before to confirm the pickup location, time, and cost.
- Transportation is not charged at the time of booking.
- TIPS are not included in your payment.

If you are not using our transportation please remember :
- You must arrive 30 minutes earlier on the tour for your check-in and waiver sign-in.
- If coming from San Juan please give yourself 1 hour 40 mins before the arrival time (30 mins before the start of your tour). This is our recommendation from previous experience, there is a lot of heavy traffic coming down from the San Juan area, some days might take even more time.
- Important that you make your arrival time (30 minutes earlier than the tour time) to get a parking space.
- The location is normally very crowded.
- Upon arrival look for kiosk # 1 from left to right with our name Pure Adventure and a beautiful mangrove and ocean paintings.
- Bring extra clothes and towels for after the trip (leave them in your car).
- If using an Uber or taxi, please keep in mind after the tour these are very difficult to get and at times are not available.
**What to bring:**
##Please leave everything in your car. We will only store your car keys, everything else must be left in your car/transportation service.
The tour is held on tandem kayaks, which means that you’ll get completely wet. The appropriate clothing will be beach clothes, a bathing suit, shorts, a t-shirt, and water shoes (sneakers and flips are OK, remember they will get wet). However, some days mosquitoes are more hungry and to better repeal them you might consider using light colors, long sleeves, and long pants (keep in mind that you’ll get wet). We also recommend bringing a towel and a change of clothes. We provide bug spray but recommend you bring extra.
**Personal belongings:** All you need to bring are the items recommended in “What to bring”. Everything else should be left in your hotel or the trunk of your car. You may also leave your belongings with us by signing a simple waiver release. Car keys are kept safe to make sure you can return to your place after the tour.
**Amenities:** Mosquito repellent, all gear, professional guides, a Marine Biologist Lead guide, light snacks at the end of the tour, and a 5-star experience!
**Bathroom:** There are public bathrooms on-site, but they are not always in good condition. You may consider stopping in fast food before getting to the meeting site or using the bathrooms from the nearby stores/restaurants which are sometimes available.
**Physical conditions:** Pregnant women or those who have epilepsy, children under the age of 6, back problems, heart conditions, dizziness, recent surgery, or any other condition that may put lives at risk are not allowed to participate in the PURE ADVENTURE tour. The maximum weight is 240 lbs per person. To ensure the weight limit is met, we will weight each guest onsite. Guests that are over 240 lbs cannot participate and no refunds or rescheduling will be done. Please help us make this a pleasant experience for all.

Cancellation Policy
**SPECIAL NOTE:**
Dear guest, keep in mind that the bioluminescence is very unpredictable and is a natural phenomenon that is influenced by several factors, which cannot be controlled, nor predicted. For this reason, it's very difficult to say when the water glows more. The glowing effect can vary from very visible to minimal or none without previous notice. Pure Adventure cannot be held responsible in the eventuality that the bay doesn't light up. On certain nights guides may use a tarp to enhance the visibility of the bioluminescence.
With or without the glow this tour is awesome! We guarantee that you and your family will have a great time. Our guides are marine biologists and because of this, they have the knowledge and experience to provide a fun and educational tour adding more value to this top-night attraction.
**GUEST VISITING VIEQUES & CULEBRA ISLANDS:**
As local tourists, we know that is a must to visit our beautiful Spanish Virgin Islands off the East Coast, Vieques & Culebra. However, we strongly suggest that our clients plan their visit to Vieques & Culebra on a different day from their reservation to the Bio Bay excursion. The Ferry service might not be on time for your trip back or might be too crowded and Pure Adventure will not provide any refunds or reschedule your tour. We will not make any exceptions if the guest does not arrive on time for the excursion.
***Keep in mind we offer Vieques and Culebra Snorkel or Dive tours and take you on our personal boat. This is a safe way to visit the islands and to stay away from the hassle that is the ferry.***
**CRUISE SHIP PASSENGERS:**
We rarely do pick up from the cruise ships because of the strict departure and arrival times. Please keep in mind that if for any reason the tour or the transportation is held back or late we will not be held responsible if your cruise leaves. The drive from the cruise port to the meeting site is about 1 hour and 30 minutes but since we need to pick up more people from other locations we estimate a 2-hour drive and maybe a little more depending on the traffic.
**CANCELLATION POLICY:**
FOR GROUPS OF 8 OR LESS: Cancellations done by 6:00 pm two (2) days before your excursion date, by **e-mail only**, will be eligible for a full refund. If a cancellation occurs after this time, no refunds will be provided and we will no rescheduling will be done. Reservations done on the same date are final (no rescheduling will be done) and nonrefundable. Spaces reserved by the client and not used are nonrefundable. Changing the number of people in a booking to a smaller number is considered as a cancellation. Such cancellations are subject to cancellation fees as per the above-mentioned.
FOR GROUPS OF 9 OR MORE: Cancellations done by 6:00 p.m. a week before (7) days before your excursion date will be eligible for a full refund. If a cancellation occurs after this time, no refunds will be provided and we will no rescheduling will be done. Reservations done on the same date are final (no rescheduling will be done) and nonrefundable. Spaces reserved by the client and not used are nonrefundable. Changing the number of people in a booking to a smaller number is considered cancellation for the change in the number of participants. Such cancellations are subject to cancellation fees as per the above-mentioned.

**- Directions are provided in this confirmation email and in detail. For any guest that arrives at a different location and is unable to do the tour no refund or rescheduling will be done. For any guests that are unable to get transportation and are unable to do the tour no refund or rescheduling will be done.**
**- Due to the limited amount of space and the time and effort our crew has put into each of our tours we will not make any exceptions regardless of the cancellation reason.**
**WEATHER CANCELLATIONS:**
Tours will NOT be canceled if it’s raining. It is still safe and the water will still glow under the rain. If the tour needs to be cancelled for severe weather conditions the Company will contact the client and no charges will be made. Pure Adventure will decide if the tour is canceled due to weather conditions. Guests who decide not to complete the tour or are no-shows will NOT receive a refund or rescheduling.
**WE RESERVE THE RIGHT OF ADMISSION:**
The primary goal with our guests is to provide a fun and safe adventure. With that in mind, guests are expected to follow instructions at all times and maintain respectful behavior towards other guests and the crew. If guests do not comply with the safety rules and behavior Pure Adventure reserves the right to end the participation of the guest at any time. If the crew suspects that a guest is under the influence of alcohol the guest will not be permitted to participate in the excursion and will not be entitled to a refund. Our guides reserve the right to refuse participation to any customer who they believe will not be able to complete the tour because of their physical condition, injury, or illness. In such cases, guests will not be entitled to a refund or rescheduling.
