Tour Description:
Join us on a fun filled outdoor adventure that's sure to leave everlasting memories! This tour is professionally guided by our certified guides. Our guides are the BEST in the industry and their expertise shows! You will be given a brief instruction on the proper way to paddle and best techniques on paddling properly. You will then make your way towards the majestic Black Canyon of the mighty Colorado River and on to Emerald Cave (time permitting). Enjoy scenic views that enchant you the entire way. Paddle where bighorn sheep roam in the canyons, along with Great Blue Herons and soaring Bald Eagles. This is a family friendly tour. If you want a more relaxed tour that's beginner friendly, we suggest you look into our "Scenic Escape" which is 2.2 miles roundtrip vs 4.5 miles. This is a self drive option, if you wish to be picked up, please see our hotel pick up option.

We open early during the summer to avoid crowds, excessive heat and to avoid being turned away from the Park reaching FULL capacity.

National Park Entry Fees / Parking:
• If you plan on visiting Zion National Park, Grand Canyon South Rim, Horseshoe bend or more than 3 National Parks in a year, consider an annual pass.
• Annual National Park Pass covers entry fee
• National Park Entry Fee is $25/Vehicle good for 6 persons. Entry fee includes parking
• National Park Entry fee is $15/per person if being picked up via shuttle

Itinerary
GUIDED Tours start at 8:30am or 10:30am with a target launch of 8:30 - 8:45am or 10:30 - 10:45am for the later start. Meet up time is 8am - 8:15am or 10am - 10:15am for the later start. Choose early if you enhjoy a more serene and peaceful tour that avoids the heat, the crowds and prefer quiet time. Choose a later start if you enjoy sleeping in but keep in mind it is usually more crowded with more driving traffic and loud noise.
An early start allows for more time in the water at a relaxed pace, no needing to wait at Emerald Cave for 45 minutes to an hour in the boiling 100F°+ (38°+ Celcius) degree sun to enter a cove that fits 10-12 people at most. We stop at different scenic points to cool down, rehydrate and re-fuel to make our way back home safely to our loved one's. Remember, this is a family adventure and if you want to have a more "do it yourself" type option, please look into our kayak rentals option.

## Tour Information
* **Duration:** 3 to 3.5 hours on average. Total time depends on weather and group speed.
* **Valuables:** Leave all valuables at home or locked in your vehicle. We are not responsible for lost or forgotten items. **We will not ship items back to you.**
## Digital Waivers (Required)
* **National Park Requirement:** A signed digital waiver is **strictly required for every single person**, including minors.
* **Complete Immediately:** Waivers **must** be completed online before you arrive. Do not wait until the day of your tour.
## Paddling & Age Requirements (Strictly Enforced)
* **No Towing:** Our guides **do not** tow kayaks. If you choose a single kayak, you must be able to paddle yourself for the entire tour.
* **Tandem Kayak Rules (Ages 5 to 14):** Children in this age group **must** ride in a tandem (double) kayak. They must be paired with an adult (18+), *or* with an older teenage sibling (ages 15–17) who weighs over 120 lbs. An adult must be on the water with the family group.
* **Single Kayak Rules (Ages 15 to 17):** Teenagers may paddle a single kayak **only** if they weigh over 120 lbs **and** an adult (18+) is on the tour with them.
* **No Day-of Changes:** Kayak styles are locked in when you book. **We cannot and will not change a tandem to a single kayak on the day of your tour.**
* **On-Site Disruptions:** We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for behavioral disruptions or refusal of safety equipment at the launch site. If a guest causes a scene or refuses to utilize their assigned tandem kayak, the excursion is immediately canceled for the party with **no exceptions and zero refund**.
## Zero-Tolerance Substance Policy (Law Enforcement Enforced)
* **Family-Friendly Environment:** We are a family-owned business. The possession or use of alcohol, hard liquor (including concealed in personal water bottles), marijuana, vaping products, or illegal drugs is **strictly prohibited** on all tours and rentals.
* **Park Ranger Notification:** This is a federal National Park area. If a guest brings, uses, or is under the influence of any prohibited substances, **we will immediately notify the National Park Rangers, who will be waiting to meet the client at the return site.**
* **Immediate Forfeiture:** Violators will have their tour terminated immediately with **zero refund**.
* **$399.00 Deep-Cleaning Fee:** If any kayak or rental equipment is returned with odors or traces of smoke, ash, marijuana, alcohol, or illicit substances, your card will be automatically charged a **$399.00 deep-cleaning fee**. No exceptions.
## Pet & Service Animal Policy (Rentals Only)
* **Guided Tours:** **No animals of any kind** are allowed on guided tours. This includes pets, service dogs, and emotional support animals (ESAs). No exceptions.
* **Self-Guided Rentals:** Well-behaved dogs and trained service dogs are allowed on rentals only. It is assumed owners know their pet's temperament well enough to handle an open-water environment.
* **Dog Rules & Gear:** Dogs must be **under 50 lbs** and are subject to our pet fee schedule. **Guests must bring their own life vest for their dog.**
* **Leash & Waste Laws:** Dogs must be securely leashed at all times while on land. Owners **must** pack out all pet waste and take it back with them for correct disposal.
* **Excessive Barking:** If a dog barks excessively, disrupting wildlife or other visitors, National Park Rangers may issue federal fines on the spot at their discretion.
* **Federal Liability (Wildlife Attacks):** Harming, harassing, or killing wildlife (such as ducks or local birds) is a serious federal crime under the Lacey Act and 36 CFR. If your dog attacks or kills wildlife, **you face immediate federal prosecution, heavy fines up to $10,000, and potential jail time.** Pet owners assume 100% legal and financial responsibility for their animal's actions.
* **$399.00 Cleaning Fee:** Kayaks must be returned completely clean. If your animal leaves behind hair, dirt, or a mess, your card will be automatically charged a **$399.00 deep-cleaning fee**. Shedding dogs will trigger this fee.
## What to Wear & Bring
* **Clothing:** Swimwear or lightweight, quick-dry clothes.
* **Expect to Get Wet:** Your feet, ankles, and lower legs will get wet during launch and landing.
* **Footwear:** Water shoes or secure sandals with straps are highly recommended. Flip-flops are allowed but slip off easily.
* **Included Gear:** Free snacks and water are provided. We loan you sun hats and dry bags for the day.
## Weather & Cancellation
* **Inclement Weather:** If the weather is inclement or unsafe, the tour will be canceled for your safety.
* **Options:** If we cancel due to weather, you will get a full refund or you can reschedule.
## Safety & Wildlife Etiquette
* **Swimming:** You do not need to know how to swim to join us.
* **Life Jackets (Save Lives):** Coast Guard-approved life jackets are **required by the National Park Service**. We strictly enforce this federal policy. You **must** wear a life jacket at all times while on the water. No exceptions.
* **Federal Wildlife Laws (Lacey Act & 36 CFR):** Harming, harassing, feeding, or disturbing wildlife is a federal crime. This strictly applies to **all adults and children**.
* **No Rock Throwing / Harassment:** Throwing rocks, debris, or water at wildlife is strictly prohibited. If an adult or child violates this federal law, National Park Rangers will be notified to issue heavy fines and citations. **Parents face full legal and financial liability for the actions of their minors.** Maintain a safe, respectful distance from all animals.
Cancellation Policy
Standard Policy
• Cancel up to 24 hours before your scheduled tour or rental for a full refund.
• Cancellations made within 24 hours, no-shows, or late arrivals are non-refundable.
Weather-Related Cancellations
• If unsafe weather prevents the activity, you may reschedule or receive a full refund.
Medical Emergencies
• If a medical emergency prevents participation within 24 hours of the tour, documentation from a licensed physician may be required. Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Airline or Travel Delays
• If a flight cancellation or delay prevents timely arrival, proof of the disruption (such as airline-issued documentation) is required for consideration of a refund or reschedule.
Personal Emergencies
• Circumstances such as traffic delays, transportation issues, or personal matters (e.g., sick pets, vehicle problems, or scheduling conflicts) are not covered by our refund policy. Please allow extra time to arrive, as tours depart promptly.
Attending Guests
• If one or more members of your party do not attend, refunds are not provided.
• For tandem kayaks, if a partner does not attend and a single kayak cannot be provided, no refund or partial refund will be issued.
Group Bookings
• For groups of 6 or more, cancellations must be made at least 72 hours in advance. Later cancellations may result in full charges for the group.
Important Information
* For safety, guests over 200 lb (91 kg / 14 st) may be discreetly weighed before launch.
* Guests 6’1” (185 cm) and under: maximum weight is 260 lb (118 kg / 18 st).
* Guests taller than 6’1” (185 cm) up to 6’8” (203 cm): maximum weight is 300 lb (136 kg / 21.4 st).
* Children must be at least 5 years old and weigh a minimum of 40 lb (18 kg / 2.8 st).
* Absolute height limit: 6’8” (203 cm).
* These limits are based on safety requirements, including boat balance and weight distribution at taller heights.
* Guests who provide inaccurate information regarding height or weight, or who exceed these limits at check-in, will not be permitted to participate and are not eligible for a refund.
