We believe that kayaking is the best way to explore and connect with nature. To paddle in Reinefjord is a must to do in Lofoten.
With this 3 h guided kayak tour in the Reinefjord you will get to explore and connect with Lofot-nature in a safe way.
We do not have a specific established route, we decide the route based on the group, conditions, light, wildlife… Basically, we try to give you the best experience based on the conditions we have.
We depart from or private harbour in Hamnøy where we have our activity center. On the activity center you have space to get changed, sitting room where we will host you, free coffee, toilet, free parking, bonfire place, sauna…
No previous experience is needed, we will teach you what you need to know to be safe and enjoy the tour. Almost everyone can paddle with us!.
**For kids under 14 years old please contact us before booking.**
Bring suitable clothes for the current weather conditions (+ a rain jacket). We provide the rest.

## ⏱️ Arrival & Timing
Please arrive **10 minutes before your tour starts**.
The tour starts **exactly on time**.
Please use the toilet before arrival, or immediately when you arrive.
**Late arrivals may miss the tour.**

## 🧥 Clothing & Preparation — Summer
Please come dressed for the weather on the day of your tour, so the same clothes you would take that same day to go for a walk on the mountain.
We recommend:
- Comfortable outdoor clothing
- A rain jacket, even if it looks dry
**Do not wear high hiking boots.**
Light hiking shoes or sneakers are best, as they give better control of the kayak rudder.
No prior kayaking experience is needed.

## 🚧 Traffic Information — Nappstraum Tunnel
### June 29th – August 15
The tunnel is **fully open**.
There are **no restrictions** during this period. You can travel normally.

### Between 15th of June and 29th of June
The tunnel closes at night form 23h to 6 am with only one opening at 2 am

### Before June 15 & After August 15
Traffic restrictions applies.
This only affects guests coming from the **east**, for example:
- Leknes
- Svolvær
If you are staying in:
- Reine
- Hamnøy
- Sakrisøy
- Sørvågen
You are already on the correct side of the tunnel.

### ⏳ Tunnel opening times
- **East → West (from Flesa): every full hour**
- **West → East (from Napp): every half past**

## ❗ HOW TO PLAN YOUR ARRIVAL (ONLY if coming from the EAST)
You must choose a tunnel opening that is **at least 1 hour before your tour start time**.
⚠️ This is essential because:
- Driving + parking + preparation takes time
**Example:**
Tour starts at **10:00**
→ Take tunnel opening at **09:00**
→ Arrival around **09:50**
✔️ This ensures you are ready and on time
🚫 Do NOT choose a later tunnel slot — even a small delay may cause you to miss the tour
