About
Board our Carolina Skiff boat as we explore Folly’s inlets, creeks and marshes in search of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. While enjoying the wind on your skin, be entertained with stories of our local ecosystems, various wildlife and waterways. Learn about South Carolina’s only inshore marine mammal while getting an up-close and personal experience like no other. This charter will cruise the tidal creeks in search of dolphins and their unique hunting technique known as strand feeding. Strand feeding occurs when a single dolphin or pod of dolphins drive concentrated schools of fish toward the pluff mud banks where fish become trapped between the mud banks and dolphins. This technique of feeding is only observed in this region of the Atlantic.

**Liability waiver**
Every individual in the group must complete an
[electronic liability wavier](https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/v/coawaiver/)
prior to arrival. This can be forwarded via text or email to others in the group. Adults must complete one on behalf of each minor.
**Directions**
We are located between James Island and Folly Beach. From Folly Road (SC-171) turn onto Bowens Island Rd (about 1.5 miles before Folly Beach) There will be a large sign for Bowens Island Restaurant at the turn. The paved road will become gravel. Follow this road to the end where you will find Bowens Island Restaurant, a parking lot on the right, and our office along the boat landing.
Please plan and dress accordingly to ensure comfort and safety. Look ahead at weather forecasts and bring plenty of water with you. Especially on the weekends, we also recommend checking the GPS to make sure you account for traffic in your travel time.

**Pet policy**
No dogs/pets are allowed on guided group tours. Please notify us if you will be bringing a service dog or would like to book a private tour.

**Transportation**
Uber & Lyft are the most common methods of transportation for those who do not have a vehicle. We do not provide transportation.
We are next door to \Bowens Island Restaurant https://bowensisland.com/ which is now serving lunch & dinner 12:00pm to 9:00pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Plan to enjoy a nice seafood meal with a view before or after your outing.
