Cancellation Policy
Mosquito Biobay Tours LLC — Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
How timing is calculated:
All timeframes are based on the scheduled check-in time for your tour and local time in Vieques, Puerto Rico (AST).
How to cancel or modify:

A) Standard Bookings (1–10 Guests)
48 hours or more before the tour:
Full refund or free reschedule based on availability.
Between 48 and 24 hours before the tour:
50% refund; rescheduling based on availability.
Less than 24 hours before the tour:
Non-refundable. Any rescheduling request is solely at the discretion of management and subject to availability.
No-shows:
No refund and no reschedule under any circumstances.
B) Group Bookings (10+ Guests)
7 days or more before the tour date:
Full refund or free reschedule based on availability.
Less than 7 days before the tour date:
Non-refundable. Any rescheduling request is solely at the discretion of management and subject to availability.
This 7-day group policy supersedes the standard 48/24-hour cancellation timeline above.
C) Weather & Safety
If Mosquito Biobay Tours LLC cancels a tour due to unsafe weather, water, environmental, or operational conditions, guests may reschedule or receive a full refund.
All decisions regarding weather and safety cancellations are made solely by Mosquito Biobay Tours LLC in the interest of guest safety and overall tour quality.
D) Minimum Participant Requirement
Our tours require a minimum of 10 confirmed participants to operate. If the minimum requirement is not met, Mosquito Biobay Tours LLC reserves the right to reschedule guests to another available date or time, offer an alternative experience, or issue a refund at management’s discretion.
Whenever possible, we will always make every reasonable effort to accommodate guests on another available tour the same day in order to avoid inconvenience.
Guests will be notified as early as reasonably possible if adjustments are required.
E) Ferry Tickets & Transportation Responsibility
Guests are solely responsible for securing ferry tickets and arranging transportation to the meeting location.
Mosquito Biobay Tours LLC is not responsible for missed tours due to ferry unavailability, ferry delays, transportation issues, traffic, travel interruptions, or personal scheduling conflicts.
Failure to arrive on time for check-in will be considered a no-show and does not qualify for a refund or reschedule.
F) Refund Method
Approved refunds will only be issued to the original form of payment used during booking.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the guest’s financial institution or credit card provider.
G) Service Availability Acknowledgment
The tour service is considered rendered once it has been made available at the scheduled check-in time and designated meeting location.
Failure to attend, late arrival, transportation delays, ferry issues, weather concerns not resulting in an official cancellation by Mosquito Biobay Tours LLC, or personal circumstances do not constitute failure to provide service and do not qualify for refunds, disputes, or chargebacks.
H) Payment Disputes & Chargebacks
By completing a reservation with Mosquito Biobay Tours LLC, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to all policies stated above.
Guests agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes for services that have been provided or made available according to the reservation terms.
Mosquito Biobay Tours LLC reserves the right to provide signed waivers, booking confirmations, communication records, attendance records, check-in logs, photographs, and related documentation as evidence in response to any payment dispute, fraudulent claim, or chargeback investigation.
Important Information
Our 10 Rules to ensure the safety and enjoyment of your tour:
Listen to your tour guide: Follow their instructions for a smooth and safe experience.
Wear appropriate safety gear: Life jackets and helmets are provided for your protection—wear them at all times.
Respect wildlife: Observe animals from a distance and refrain from feeding or touching them.
Stay with the group: Stick together with your tour companions to ensure no one gets lost.
Be mindful of weather conditions: Prepare for changes in weather and follow the guide's advice regarding safety protocols.
Follow Route: Clients must dispose of any trash or waste in designated areas and refrain from littering in the bio bay or surrounding environment.
No Swimming: Swimming in the bio bay is not permitted due to safety reasons and to preserve the natural habitat. Clients must remain in their kayaks at all times.
Stay Calm: In the event of unexpected circumstances such as capsizing or encountering wildlife, clients must remain calm and follow the guide's instructions for a safe resolution.
Dress Appropriately: Clients should wear appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for kayaking, including swimwear, rash guards, and water shoes.
Enjoy responsibly: Have fun, but remember to respect the environment and fellow tour participants for a memorable experience.
If you need to catch the late ferry back to the main island of Puerto Rico, you must book the 7:00 PM tour. Otherwise, you'll have to stay in Vieques overnight.
