Thank you for registering for our Adult Sailing Instruction course at the Bayfront Maritime Center! We’re excited to have you join us on the water.

Please plan to arrive **10–15 minutes early** for your first session to allow time for check-in. Check in at the **main building reception desk**, where staff will direct you to your instructor and group.

Each session is **2 hours long and meets once per week for 6 weeks**. Please arrive on time for each session so we can make the most of our time on the water.

### What to Bring

Bring a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, and comfortable clothes and shoes that can get wet. We recommend dressing in layers, as temperatures on the water can be up to 10 degrees cooler than on land.

All required safety equipment, including life jackets (Personal Flotation Devices), will be provided.

### Important Notes

Classes are held rain or shine. In the event of severe or unsafe weather, we will notify you of any changes and schedule a make-up session if needed.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are permitted up to **7 days prior to the start of the course**.

Cancellations made less than 7 days before the course start date are **non-refundable**. **No-shows will be charged the full course price.**

If a class is canceled by the Bayfront Maritime Center due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances customers will receive a **full refund or credit**, or a make-up session may be offered when possible.

Important Information

The Bayfront Maritime Center is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all participants, staff, and volunteers.

All participants are expected to follow staff instructions and adhere to established safety guidelines at all times. Proper safety equipment, including Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs), must be worn as required during on-the-water activities.

Participants should be in appropriate health and physical condition for light activity and must inform staff of any medical conditions, injuries, or concerns that may affect their ability to safely participate.

Weather and water conditions are continuously monitored. Programs may be modified, delayed, or canceled if conditions are deemed unsafe by staff.

In the event of an emergency, trained staff will respond and coordinate appropriate care. By participating, individuals acknowledge shared responsibility for maintaining a safe environment and agree to act in a manner that supports the safety and well-being of all participants
