Important Information

**PADDLING LAKE TAHOE**
Your health and safety are our top priority, and we have put special measures in place to keep all guests safe while paddling Lake Tahoe. In addition, if you are choosing to visit or live in this environment you obviously love & value nature and are mindful of your health!. Our biome & immune response are ENHANCED by our interaction with nature! Please be kind to yourself and all other humans and to our natural environment at Waterman's.
**Let's go paddle!**
Lake Tahoe is an Alpine Lake at 6200 feet of elevation and we suggest practicing smart mountain safety. Plan to check weather conditions for temperature and winds and plan to dress appropriately, including packing a change of clothes. Mountain conditions mean strong winds can be a challenge. The water is always cold and weather conditions can change rapidly. Be sure to review the safety information below.
**WEATHER** - Pay attention to changing wind and weather conditions, we strongly recommend to come back to shore quickly or simply choose to **not paddle** when the wind forecast is beyond 10 miles per hours and when thunderstorms are forecasted - Waterman's landing will shut down rentals operation on weather alert days.
**PERSONAL FOALTATION DEVICE** - Always wear your life jacket (PFD) provided with your equipment.
**LEASH** - Always wear a SUP leash so your board doesn’t get away from you.
**SHARE YOUR FLOAT PLAN** - Paddling alone, inform your friend - family about your float plan: where you are going, and when you are expecting to return. **We strongly suggest packing your phone in a water-safe case and keep with you while paddling.**
