Sail away on the gorgeous 1939 wooden schooner built for General George S. Patton. Built with the dream to sail around the world 'When the war is over, and If I live through it," When and If is over 80 years young with her destiny as yet unfulfilled.
Come and be part of her story! Take a turn at the helm, help raise sail or simply relax and enjoy the views of the gorgeous North Shore coastline. We will cast off, motor out to where we can safely raise sail, and as soon as the sails are set we will shut off the engine and see where the wind takes us! Your journey ends with your safe return to the dock 2 hours later.
Please arrive at the dock 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time.

Hi! Thank you for choosing When And If at Sunset Sail Salem. We're excited to have you come sailing with us, please take note of the following before your trip:
WE ARE LOCATED AT THE FERRY DOCK AT 10 BLANEY ST, SALEM, MA, 01970
This is a large parking lot right by the boat so there should be plenty of room to park - please be sure to arrive in good time and be ready to board 15 minutes prior to your departure time.
There are public restrooms available for use at the dock during extended business hours, and there is a restroom aboard When And If, though as it is quite a unique vintage bronze mechanism we recommend getting comfortable before departure if possible!

PLEASE BRING:
Your own mask/PPE should you prefer to wear it, or as mandated by the state at the time of your trip.
Even on these lazy hazy summer days it can be cool out on the water, and sometimes chilly after sunset. Please bring a sweater/jacket/windbreaker even if the day seems warm to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable sail.
Gratuity for the crew is not automatically included. Customary gratuity is 15-20% of trip price. At your request gratuity can be added to your credit card or paid directly to the crew in cash after the trip.**

CANCELLATION POLICY
The WHEN AND IF does require a minimum of six total guests in order to sail. If a trip has fewer than six total guests booked, you will be given the option to purchase the remaining seats, or we can reschedule for another time.
Items cancelled by guests outside 48 hours are entitled to a full refund minus a 10% admin fee.
Items cancelled by guests within 48 hours and no-shows will not be compensated.
If the weather is inclement and the ship does not sail we will do our best to reschedule you. In the event that we can't, you will be fully refunded.
If the ship sails and you choose not to go, no compensation will be available though we will try to re-book you. Trips already rescheduled by guests are not eligible for cancellation by guests.
