Restrictions
**Ages 14 and up can paddle a SUP.**
**Ages 12 and under must be in a tandem kayak accompanied by someone 14 and up.**
**Two person minimum. You could be asked to reschedule if this isn't met.**
**Fitness classes require a private lesson for any first time paddlers**
About
- Our paddle begins in a saltwater marsh area in historic Shem Creek among shrimp boats and restaurants that line the creek.
- We then journey out to an Bird Sanctuary called Crab Bank Island across a shallow bay, which is home to thousands of nesting shorebirds including the state threatened species Wilsons Plover and Eastern Brown Pelicans. Frequented by dolphin and sometimes manatee, this is a nice wildlife paddle.
- This tour also includes incredible views in the distance of the historic Charleston Harbor, Castle Pinckney, and Ft. Sumter.
- Tours are led by trained and entertaining guides.
- Please bring a refillable water bottle.

**Before you Arrive**

**Check-In Process**
- Check in 30 minutes early for instruction, tours will leave on time. Arriving late may turn your tour into a rental or cause you to miss your trip. Arrive early to find parking, use restroom and get ready. You will be responsible for charges or able to move to another day with a $20 restocking fee.
-If there are lots of people on the ramp or window, wait on the island or the waiting area (in front of our ramp)
**Parking**
- Public parking is limited, so plan ahead, carpool or Uber/Lyft. Please avoid restaurant or seafood store lots. Please park along the roadway as you enter the lot, parallel along the road or diagonally facing the marsh as you follow the road to the left.
**What to wear/bring**
- SHOES: Beware of Oysters - go barefoot at own risk. We recommend shoes with a heel strap
- Bringing water (refillable bottle preferred), sunscreen, hat and shoes that stay on are recommended.
- We encourage that cameras and cell phones be stowed in a drybag or waterproof container. Note these items are carried with you at your own risk.
**Tips**
- Tips for the staff that help you with your rental are not required but always appreciated.

Cancellation Policy
Nature Adventures has a 24 hour cancellation policy. Large Groups & Special Events has a 7 day cancellation policy (see details below)
**Cancel Before 24 hours**
No cancellation fee charged and you will be refunded the full amount. Special events and groups have a different cancellation policy.
**Cancellations Within 24 hours**
You will be charged the full amount of your trip. Keeping our tours small and our guides on call, other clients were prevented from booking and the guide scheduled was impacted.
**Same Day changes/rebooking**
There will be a non-refundable $20 Rebooking Fee charged.
**Weather**
Inclement weather cancellations will be determined by Nature Adventures when winds are too high and/or there is heavy rain/lightening. You will not be charged a cancellation fee and will be refunded the full amount if you are unable to move to a different date and time.
**Large Groups**
Special Events, large groups (10 or more people) and team building have a 7 day cancellation policy. Because we can only accommodate a fixed number of large groups daily, other clients are prevented from booking.
