Know Your Limits
- This is a physical outdoor activity. Only participate if you feel comfortable paddling, being in open water, and handling changing weather conditions.
- All participants must wear a life jacket at all times while on the water.
- For your safety, remain within the recommended route and boundaries provided at check-in.
- Conditions can change quickly. Do not go out in unsafe weather, and follow any guidance given at check-in. We reserve the right to cancel or delay tours due to weather.
- Louisiana heat can be intense—bring water and stay hydrated. Take breaks as needed and avoid overexertion.
- You may encounter wildlife, including alligators. Do not approach, feed, or disturb animals. Give them space and observe from a distance.
- Getting in and out of a kayak requires balance. Take your time and follow instructions to avoid slipping or tipping.
- For your safety, alcohol and drug use are strictly prohibited before and during your paddle.
- Not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, have serious medical conditions, recent injuries, or anything that could be worsened by physical activity or heat.
- You will be provided with a contact number before launch. In case of emergency, call 911 first, then notify us.
- This is a self-guided experience. You are responsible for your safety and the safety of those in your group while on the water.
