About
The 10,000 Islands Excursion is the best way to experience the natural world around Marco Island. Conducted within the 10,000 Islands Wildlife Refuge, you will experience what many describe as, "The Best of Florida".
The tour is a two-part experience. The first part is a slow, intimate boating tour amongst the remote islands of the Ten Thousand Islands. While you search for dolphins, manatees and sea turtles, you may encounter ospreys, bald eagles, ibis, roseate spoonbill, egrets, herons and any number of shorebird species. All the while, your formally trained Florida Master Naturalist guide will talk to you about the area's ecosystems, it's long history and rich culture.
The second part of your excursion is an exploration of a remote barrier island beach ... an island that you only can reach by boat ... an island that few get to experience. Learn about beach dynamics; stroll through the tidal flats and wade the tidal pools of these remote islands.

##Below are some details about your activity:
• Please plan to arrive 20-25 minutes before so that you can park and use the bathroom facilities. We will board the boat 5 minutes before your departure time so that we may leave on time.
• Please meet your guides under the pavilion to the left of the main building. They will help you get parked if needed. The Goodland Boat Park does charge $10 for parking. There is free parking outside of the gate to the left along the fence.
Please bring water, hats, sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray, and weather-appropriate clothing. Due to the warm Florida weather, we highly recommend bringing plenty of water and applying sunscreen before your tour. Guests are welcome to bring a small personal cooler with drinks and snacks if desired. Shelling bags are included!
