##Additional Information

**Scheduling:** In general camps are 3 days long 9.30-3pm with early morning drop off at 8.30 onwards and late afternoon pickup until 5pm. Your order will show the start day/time for the first day of the camp.

**Sign-in and out:** Please escort your child/children to the sign in desk at the back of Manly Sailing office (end of East Esplanade path) to complete the sign in process. Please let staff know if you would like your child to make their own way home and sign the appropriate permission slip or email us before hand.

**Waiver:** Each participant will be required to complete a waiver before participating in a course / experience. This can be done [online] (https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/5d8b0b333d047/web/) or at the office.

**Location:** Sessions will start from Manly Sailing. Our office is located on the wharf level underneath Many Yacht Club. When in Manly, facing the Manly Ferry Wharf, turn left and follow the path around past East Esplanade beach until it ends. A short 10 minute walk.

**Food: Please bring recess, lunch and a water bottle** to keep them hydrated and full of energy to get through the day. We may stop for lunch at different beaches so please ensure they have their food and water ready to go in the morning.

**Footwear:** Old trainers or wetsuit booties to provide protection from sharp objects. **Crocs and Thongs are not permitted** as they cannot be securely fastened to feet. Anyone arriving without secure footwear will not be permitted on the boats or the wharf.

**Hat:** A secure hat that can be tied on is recommended.

**Shorts:** Shorts over a wetsuit are essential as sailing involves sliding around on the boat quite a bit. If you have a wetsuit it is a good idea to bring it.

**T-Shirt: *A long sleeve rash vest must be worn*** for sun protection and to prevent a rash caused by the PFD. Rash vests can be purchased from our office upon arrival.

**Warm Top:** such as an old polar fleece, or a light wind jacket is advised to add that extra layer if it’s chilly.

**PFD (Personal Floatation Device):** we supply PFD’s for all students. Students may use their own but we reserve the right to inspect them and if necessary insist that one of ours is worn. Anyone declining to wear their PFD will not be allowed to participate.

**Sun cream:** Participants should bring their own sun cream, preferably Zinc or at least factor 30 or above. Sun cream should be applied at home before attending and during camps our staff will supervise reapplication of sun cream at the lunchtime break. If your child has allergies to any sunscreens please ensure they have a suitable one packed.

**Towel:** Participants will get wet during the session so a dry towel for afterwards is essential.

**Secure gear bag:** is required to store all clothes and gear. We will do our best to make sure students gear is secure but we do not have lock up facilities so please don’t bring valuables. Gear should be labelled clearly to mix-ups / lost property. We will store lost property for a maximum of two weeks following an event.

**Dry clothes:** Participants will get wet during the session so a set of dry clothes for afterwards is advised. An old shopping bag is recommended to carry wet gear in is recommended.
