I would like to help kids and adults who have been impacted by the recent fires on Maui. There have been many studies showing that
surfing can have an array of benefits for those impacted by challenging life events. Surfing has been known to boost mood, self esteem, Instill hope, and regulate the nervous system.
It’s also a great way to take the mind off the current challenges we face here on Maui.
I would like take groups of adults and groups of kids together so they can learn how to surf have fun and share the challenges and opportunities to help one another grow as they face the next part of their life on Maui.
Hopefully this will allow them to reset their mind and body and release any trauma they have faced over the last 3 weeks of their life.
