Tour Description

This is an ideal trip for people without much experience in sea kayaking as the area that we will paddle is one of the calmest in Greece. Warm water year round. Paddlers very new to the sport are more than welcome. There will be enough time for practising rescues & coaching as well. Overnight in small apartments & hotels.

Apart from the small villages and the few little towns that will visit during our paddle we will have enough time to explore Nafplio city & Palamidi.

Palamidi is a fortress to the east of the city. Nestled on the crest of a 216-metre high hill, the fortress was built by the Venetians during their second occupation of the area. The view from the top is outstanding.

Nafplio was the capital of the first Hellenic republic and of the kingdom of Greece, from the start of the Greek Revolution in 1821 until 1834.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD & OTHER DETAILS

Accommodation is in small apartments/hotels. You are welcome to prepare your own breakfast/lunch/dinner or  to use one of the tavernas. Dinner ranges 12-15€. Rooms are based on double occupancy. A single supplement is a fee paid by a solo traveler to compensate for losses incurred because only one person is using a double room. If you are a solo traveler looking to share a room we will make every effort to pair solo travelers of the same gender together. If you request to share a room and we cannot pair you with another traveler, the single supplement fee is applied. The single supplement fee varies every season; be in touch with us about the exact amount.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED: BEGINNER

The whole kayaking expedition is about 100km. This equates to about 20 km/day in 5 days.

The trip fee includes all of the equipment listed below. The price does not include flights, this must be booked by you. Food is also not covered in the price.

Please note

You need to flight in Athens to join this trip. You can also leave your luggage in a secure place with us and take them back once we return from the kayaking trip. Pick up is from Piraeus harbour. There are several ways to get there; either by train/bus or taxi.
